The Department of Education, on Thursday November 19, 2015 held its 9th Annual Primary School National Awards Ceremony under the theme “Leaving Trails of Success to Light the Way.” The ceremony was sponsored by The Anguilla Electricity Company, ANGLEC. ANGLEC has been sponsoring this event since its commencement in 2007.
The number of students awarded at this ceremony was 51 compared to 56, which decreased by 5 awardees from the previous year. ANGLEC’s commitment to sponsoring this event shows that the company is being a good cooperate citizen, as well as a friend of education and youth. This is seen through its sponsorship as the numbers of awardees fluctuate from year to year.
